What's Going On? God! - Pt. 3

You might call it just a theory, but I'm convinced that the microcosm of God's creation is as infinite as the macrocosm. God's creation extends to the limitlessness of His Being, and it appears that we can't find an end of the micro anymore than we can find an end of the macro. It is understood that atoms are the building blocks of all matter, but the inward of the atoms is as limitless as the outward of the cosmos.

I believe this is integral to the revelation, not only of the scope of God's creation in Christ, but of the activity within the Being of God. In the innards of the Godhead, there's a lot going on brethren---deep, deep goings-on, and love is all that's going on in all of it's expressions.

I believe the Spirit of God goes down into the depths of God, searching out the depths of God, as Paul wrote, in order to bring forth all of Deity's out-going, and ongoing.

God is always bringing forth more fresh glory out from within, and clothes Himself in what He brings forth of Himself, which also is His habitation. As I once heard Him say, "I dwell in the transcendence of my own glory" That's the heaven of "Our Father which art in heaven." What He brings forth in the full expression of Himself, is not an "it" glory, but the glory which His children.

How puny are our concepts of who constitutes the Family of God compared to that picture. We grant God-family status very grudgingly it seems, and if we go so far as to grant it to all of humanity, we certainly tend to arrange the begotten of God according to divisions that I generally find to be in stark contrast to both the explicit and implicit view of scripture.

The spirit of every human being has been generated by love-communion deep within the Godhead. The love of God in the communion of the Holy Spirit has resulted in your conception and birth as a God kind of being, and you---all of you reading this message---are on your way to full mature sonship.

This most central truth of God's Fatherhood with Its complementary Motherhood has been hidden from us within the eonian darkness, the record of which confronts us at the very beginning of the Book of Genesis, out from which God called forth light. We, all of us, are that light. But the calling forth of the light entails that darkness that causes One to cry "My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken me?

Regardless of how much the message that brought you to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior was contaminated by religious encrustation, that measure of light that broke through into your soul gave you your first (little understood) inkling of your Primal Origin (Barth). That encounter with the Son who extended sonship to you, was the beginning of your earthly, eonian alignment with your eternal, heavenly identity.

When the Lord Jesus rightfully claimed me as His own, arresting my life's direction, becoming to me that dominating Presence through light and darkness, highs and lows, understandings and misunderstandings, joy and sorrow, it was not long afterward that religion began to do everything it could to get me to interpret what He had done for me, and in me, in a way seriously out of alignment with the reality, and that especially as it concerned my relationship with others.

But He, my Lord, in all of it, was what was going on all the time with or without my knowledge. His goings-on are my goings-on, and the Way of His going is always to go deep in order to come forth in increased glory.

Paul summed up the above as "The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit." That's what's going on, and I feel pressed to ask my readers, in the light of that summation, what are you into? Is what you're spiritually into more about just having "itching ears?" Is it too disturbing to your comfort zone to continue to consider the great price that brought to you "the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ?"

Has the corrupting of the gospel of Jesus Christ by contemporary Pharisees put burdens upon you that you finally could no longer bear, and triggered in you a reaction, making you vulnerable to anything that will make you feel good? It's good to feel good, I admit. But quite a few of us who once knew the personal touch of Jesus Christ in our lives, have been duped into accepting the way of the cheap, instant gratification offered by "vain philosophy."

Ear-tickling concepts of what is meant by "the Christ," "Christ-consciousness," "Oneness," etc., abound to distract us from "Him with whom we have to do." Their seductive spirit is exposed most seminally when faced with the awful truth that "it pleased God to bruise Him."

Can you factor that into your theology without denying it, without explaining it away? Is the way of the cross a stumbling block to your understanding, and to your preference for how things out to be, and what should be the nature of God's ongoing.

It has been this man's experience that the living Word of God, in it's discerning of soul and spirit, of the joints and marrow, and the thoughts and intents of the heart, has mostly to do with the difference between ideas about Christ, as opposed to Christ, the summary Message of God's idea, to be known in deep, personal fellowship, rather than in some kind of esoteric mind-trip.
