The following is a transcript of a message given by my father, George Greatorex, (1904-1987) at a ministerial convention in Toronto Canada on April 13, 1977. It has been edited only where necessary to aid in understanding. It was poorly recorded and parts were missed, but I have endeavoured to keep the flow as it was spoken.

There is certainly a lot of difference between preaching and ministering. I remember the day when we used to preach at people, and very often at times, it wasn't really effective. What I believe God wants us to do is to minister the Words of Life. I never speak of preaching. I speak of ministering to the people. I think that's one of the greatest needs of the hour. I'm speaking now of the Body of Christ. I'm speaking of course to those who are in the ministry and who are ministering to the brethren. Very often when you get ministering to others, you are very conscious that it's something you need yourself. Conventions used to be a tremendous time of divine visitation as we sought the simplicity of faith in the Word of God.

Last Friday was Good Friday, and I had been studying most of the week for a number of commitments, in ministry, but I felt somehow that I wanted to forget all about ministering altogether. I wanted to concentrate on the death of Christ and of His resurrection; therefore the entire morning was spent in prayer, in reading, and reading what others had to say about the Cross. I think it's good to get back to the basics, the things that are our foundation. Sometimes I have wondered about people, who claim a charismatic experience. How far are they from the Cross, or have they really known the meaning of the death of Christ on the Cross.

I remember when I was pastor of the Kitchener church, one of the men who was a former General Superintendent of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (George Chambers), used to sit right in the front. He would often interrupt, or he would finish the message I preached. I was just the young minister ministering to him, Every once in awhile he would jump up and say this, something that I’ve never forgotten and that had a profound effect on my heart. He said, "DON’T PREACH ABOUT KNOWING JESUS, BUT PREACH CHRIST!” It is possible to preach about knowing Christ, about the things of Christ, about the knowledge of Christ, about the life of Christ and not really preach the Son of God, Himself. But he's right. It's pretty common, isn't it?

You can have preaching, you can have a form without really knowing beyond a shadow of a doubt of your vital relationship with the Son of God. We are going to see the visitation of God. It will come on a solid foundation. We have discovered in days gone by, when the Spirit of God had moved, a lot of people moved into realms of fanaticism and foolishness, and the reason why is, they never had a really solid foundation. They didn't really know the work of the Cross. In fact, many people are scared of it. They don't really like it, it is too deep for them. They want to putter around, but not too deep for them, just enough to give them a little satisfaction, but not really to go down into the depths of the knowledge of the Son of God, until their lives become completely transformed. There is no such thing as an up experience, a down experience, an in experience, or an out experience. The important thing is to know the Son of God, beyond a shadow of doubt.

This is especially so for those who are ministering. It’s so important! I've heard preachers say, "Well, I'm kind of down today" or they are kind of up today, kind of in today, or kind of out today. We are the leaders, leaders, and much is expected of us to manifest the very life of the Son of God. I want to speak about “MINISTERING HIS LIFE!” Not what we know of Him, but ministering the very life of the Son of God.

In the Tenth Chapter of the Gospel of John, Verse Ten, we read these tremendous words, "The thief cometh not but to steal, and to kill, and to destroy; I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." Verse Eleven, "I am the Good Shepherd; and the Good Shepherd giveth His life for the sheep." The Amplified New Testament renders it, "I am come that they may have and enjoy life, have it in abundance, to the full, till it overflows. I am come to give life." This stands opposite to death. Jesus declares the design of Satan, (10a) "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill and to destroy." Jesus came to give us life more abundantly, more than could be expected. Not just life, but life in abundance. So the life promised is the very life of the Son of God, His risen resurrection life.

We have just celebrated the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. Some made a big fuss. It was mostly emotion and commotion, and a lot of people cry about it. But you know the thing I noticed, they would come back the next day and they had nothing. That’s right. It just took a few hours and it blew away like the wind, because it had not been faith. Now, I am emotional, but that’s not the point, the point is our emotion must be based on the solid foundation of our relationship with Jesus Christ. And when you come down, you’re still on the foundation. It hasn't changed. It hasn’t moved you. You have not lost anything. Oh! I had a good time last night, but I’m having another good time preaching. I think in this hour, if you are going to see the true visitation of God, it will be upon a people who really know God, not know about Him.

O Brother Chambers! are you listening?” I used to get kind of irritated a bit, you know. Didn't know what he was talking about. You know it is true, isn't it? the knowledge about, the knowledge of, and the relationship with the blessed Son of God?

He tells us the very reason He came, "That I am come.” The cross and the resurrection; you can't separate the cross from the resurrection. He is the crucified and the risen Lord. He said, the reason I came to be crucified, the reason I was risen, is that you might have life. That you might have My life, you might have that life in abundance. The abundance of life. In the Twenty-seventh verse, He said "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me" continuing in verse Twenty-eight, He says, "And I give them (speaking of the sheep) eternal life." That's a bad verse. There was a day when I was scared of that verse, “eternal Life.” Why people said, “Brother, you’re preaching eternal security.’’

You see the people are so up and down, and so in and so out. They don't have any experience and when you spoke about eternal life, they said, "You can't have that." And there was a cleavage between those who believed in an up and down experience, or an out experience, and those who believed that when they came to the Cross, they received the very life of the Son of God. How can you go up? How can you go down? How can you go in, or how you go out? when you have the very Son of God. He said, "they shall never perish!" Oh, isn't that a wonderful promise! He is speaking of the life. He is speaking of His resurrection life. He is speaking of His authority. He is speaking about what was accomplished by His death and His resurrection. That' the reason He came. How you feel has got nothing to do with my beliefs.

You know what Brother Whyte said last night, talking about age, he said, "There is no such thing as age in the realm of the Spirit. Your life does not weaken, it doesn't get less and less and less.” You say, "Well, I'm getting older, I'm getting grayer, and I am not as young as I used to be." But, there is a life in the Spirit, and a life in the Spirit does not decrease. It increases. Hallelujah! It's the life of the Son of God!

It's a life that's provided by the Son of God, through His death and the wonder of His resurrection, His risen life! And that was why Paul was able to say in Galatians in the Second Chapter and in the Twentieth verse, "I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live, yet not I, but Christ liveth in me. And the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God.” I have the life of Christ in me. This is reality! This is life! This isn’t emotion and commotion, but the very dynamic, growing, vital life of the Son of God.

You don’t need to go to a “Deeper Life” convention to go deeper, you’ve got the life of the Son of God now. I don’t belong in the over-comers, I just have to overcome. You know it’s, "I am crucified with Christ." We have the living Son of God inside of us, we have Christ in our life, and that's what Paul said, "Christ is my life!"

It's not what I call my salvation or my emotion, it is the very life of the Son of God I received when I came to the knowledge of salvation. I received the Son of God in my life. There’s a life inside of me now. What an experience! As someone said, “Yes I did, I did have an experience.” It's not something you do, something you know, but it is life. It's there. It is something that abides. It is something that lasts, it's something that is there day and night, summer and winter, no matter when it is, whatever you are going through, it makes no difference whatsoever! We have the very life of the Son of God. We can go home walking on air, we can go home shouting, we have something.

There are a couple of verses I want to share with you from the Eighth chapter of Romans. When I think of Romans eight, I always think of Dr. Purdie, that great Anglican man who became baptized in the Spirit and was instrumental in starting the Pentecostal Bible College in Winnipeg. He always said this of Romans Eight. He said, “It begins with, "No condemnation,” and it ends with "No separation," and he said "There is no defeat in between." No defeat! There is no defeat. And so as we turn to the Eighth chapter there are two verses, I want you to notice, verses Nine and Ten, "But ye are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His, and if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life." The Spirit is life! There is life in us. I believe when the body of Christ comes alive, we're going to see some thing! Somebody said, "Well, I kind of feel down today, don't feel right up to the mark." But when the world sees the throbbing, vital life that the children of God possess, they're going to say, "These people really have some thing." Not our preaching, they don't want that, but they want that vital life, they want to see it manifest They don’t want to our testimony.

I know one brother from Kitchener who used to get men right up against the wall and they got saved. But, they were no more saved than the wall. You can't save men and women. They have to be born by the Spirit. They have to receive a Life, not just an experience. It comes from the knowledge that something's born in them. They can't get away from it. It possesses them, it thrills them, It throbs inside of them, this imparted knowledge.

There’s such a thing impartation. You can impart the very life that possesses you. You can impart it to others. That is why there is such a thing as the "impartation of laying on of hands." You can't impart what you don't possess, but if that life is in you, throbbing and thrilling in you, when you put your hands upon somebody, somebody else feels it.

I remember when I was at a church in Winnipeg, one night there were a number of young people who came up for salvation. When I laid hands on them, they went down under the power for salvation. One young lady was frightened, but I said, "Don't be afraid, I won't touch you" and down she went without touching her. The Spirit of God was moving. Well, what happened? The next time I went there, she said, "I was the young lady who was saved that night. "She received life!" It's not our emotion, but the very thrilling, throbbing vital life of the Son of God, and when the Body of Christ comes alive, something is going to happen.

We are going to see the churches come alive. We're going to see cities come alive. Brother Whyte challenged us today, he doesn't see apostasy, but he sees the vital renewing of the body, and the visitation of God, and a restoration of the church. The restoration, the revival, the quickening, the life, the moving of God. Hallelujah! The life of Christ. You see, it's not based on some emotion or what somebody tells you but on vital contact with the very Son of God Himself. When we turn to the Epistle to the Ephesians, we find that the highest purpose of God for the church is that we should build ourselves up. We read in Ephesians Chapter Four, a couple verses, I want to share here, Verses 4 and 15, "That we henceforth be no more children tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine by the sleight of men and cunning craftiness whereby they lie in wait to deceive; but speaking the truth in love may grow up.”

There are some people who have never gone past the initial stages of salvation. They have never grown up. We know thousands of Christians who are still babies, they know nothing of the deeper life. In fact they are afraid of a dimension of a deeper life. But here he said, "that they might grow up." God is looking for a mature body. You see, God wants to work, and He can only work through the church. He can only work through surrender. He can only work through those who have been crucified, through those who have been resurrected, through those who’s life is the very life of the Son of God. And then, in the Sixteenth verse we read, “From whom the whole body,” you see, we have a relationship

I shall never forget when I left the Pentecostal Movement, I was broken hearted. I had been in the movement for years, and I had done nothing wrong. I only taught the things that God wanted the people to hear. But, God showed me something. God showed me that there is not a denomination, but that there was a Body, and that is the Body of Jesus Christ, that is comprised of men and women who came into vital relationship with the Son of God. You can be Pentecostal and miss. You can belong to an organization and know nothing of the life of the Son of God. You couldn’t have that pulsating in you, that you knew beyond a shadow of doubt, that you really knew the Son of God. Just imagine the church coming alive! And, so I say, that it revolutionized my life. Somebody said, “Don’t you feel embarrassed about moving out of your church?” I said, “I never felt so happy in all my life.” I saw the Body of Christ!

You see, so often we have a narrow vision. We just see the denomination. Do you know what we used to say in Pentecost? “A denomination is an abomination.” Isn’t it funny? That’s what we said, and, the next day, we became the very thing we criticized the other fellow for. That’s what we became. That’s right, that’s right! We became a denomination because we crowded out anyone who didn’t believe what we believed. They could never see the fullness of the Body. They could never see that the functioning of that Body of Christ that was real. It accomplishes the purpose of God. There is something to be accomplished. God is going to do things.

Turn to Verse Sixteen, "From whom the whole body fitly joined together." In Christ, joined together! You see, I'm separated now, now you say, "Oh, well you know, you don't belong to us anymore." You see, that's separate. That isn’t joined. This brings us into a relationship. You don't say, "Well brother, are you Pentecostal?" "Are you Apostolic?" I meet anybody, and immediately your brother, and they never met you before, but they've come into vital relationship. It breaks down the barriers. It brings us into relationship, where the Spirit of God grow that in us. You know, often the Spirit of God is hindered because we set up the barriers.

There's a flowing and a moving of the Spirit. There is a function of the gifts of Christ, the ministry gifts. Oh, you say, "that's not for today." The Bible says ministry gifts function with the gifts of the Spirit. You can't have the gifts of the Spirit functioning without the ministry gifts of Christ. If you have the gifts of the Spirit without the ministry gifts of Christ, you have confusion, because you do not have leadership. It is the ministry gift that gives leadership to the body of Christ, for the functioning of the gifts of the Spirit, and that's what God is doing through ministry gifts.

The Bible says, there are apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers for the work of the ministry, for the edifying, and building up of Body of the Lord Jesus. I want you to notice the last part says, "maketh increase of the body." Maketh increase, well that's proof, isn't it? That's proof! Well, somebody said, "I was saved around forty years ago and I’m still saved.” Well brother, you can be still just saved if you like. Some of us are not “still” anymore, but moving. We're moving, we have life, we have energy, we have strength. We're moving in the realm of the Spirit to the greatest manifestation of the power of God that the world has ever seen. The world is going to stand back and see us function. That's what God is seeking to do through the body.

You know, when Jesus was here upon earth, He was the vessel of divine power of God. He was human, but He was the very vessel of the divine life of the Son of God. In John 1:4, it says, "He was life and the life was the light of men." In Christ was life, the light of men. But now that life is in the body, it’s in us. The very life of the Son of God is in us. It's in His body, it's functioning with His life. We're His body. Somebody said, "Oh, the bride of Christ." He said, “Do you belong to the bride of Christ?” I'm not concerned about the bride of Christ. I'm concerned about the Body of Christ, and about the functioning of His life. You see that's what Jesus is teaching. He teaches the function of the body, that we are bone of His bone and flesh of His flesh, and His very life is in us. It's in us now.

We are the only expression that the world has of Christ, and all they can see of Christ is in us. So we are the very expression of Christ. So now it is His life manifested to the church. There is no one who can deny this. They can't find it in religion, they can only find it in the function of the body, with the life of Christ being made manifest by the apostles of the Lord Jesus Christ, and when they see us, they see the Son of God, in all His glory, and all His power. What a tremendous truth!

We are the life of Christ. We are the manifestation of Christ. We are living epistles. That's what Paul said, living epistles! Some say, "Don't follow me", but Paul said, "Follow me." Some say, "Don't do as I do, or you will get lost." Paul said that we may be acceptable living examples of His life. Glory to God! We have a new dimension. We are moving in a different realm. We are manifesting Christ. The only light is the light that flows through us. The world is in darkness, but there's a light.

We are here to reveal the death and the resurrection of Christ. Brothers and Sisters, we are either ministering the life of Christ or ministering death. We are ministering His life! We have the ability to minister the very life of the Son of God. Ministering His life! Especially to the Body of Christ. That is the reason why this Fellowship came into existence. Not to create a denomination, but to create a place where we would come from everywhere, to be together, and to share the very life of Christ, where we would minister to one another. “Minister,” I like that expression! Isn't that wonderful?

Some said, "I thought you were a preacher." Well, who told you that? But you say, "Aren't you afraid? If you get some people ministering, aren't you afraid that you'll lose your job?" I lost it a long time ago. I lost it a long time ago. I haven't got a job. I've got a life. I have a ministry! It is not a job, it is a ministry. It's a ministry to fellowship with brethren, to show them our relationship. We're just so close to one another. Nearer than breathing, yes, nearer than breathing. We just feel so close to one another. So often we say, "Brother, that's what I want, that's why I've come." We've gone from convention to convention and we've come away from them saying, "I never got near to anybody and nobody got near to me.” But you see, we want you to get close to one another. You want to feel something. You say, "Well, I don't know this brother, he's from New Brunswick.” “I've never met him,” or. “They're from Alberta, I don't know them,” and, “Here's this brother from British Columbia. I've never been introduced to him." Their very life is Christ! It's something, not where you come from, but there's something that flows between us. Were part and parcel of the life of the Son of God.

We are called to reveal, not preach, not preach too often. I remember when I used to preach, I used to drive people away with: "You're going to hell. You're lost. You're away from God. You're just a filthy sinner." They didn't come for you to preach that. They knew that. They didn't need to be told that. They need to see someone that cares, someone who loves them. Some of them wanted to give themselves in exchange for death, they wanted His life. When they see that, it changes things, doesn't it, when we minister the very life of Christ? So we're ministering life.

Paul said in 1st Corinthians, Twelve, Verses 25 & 26, "that there should be no schism in the body, but that the members should have the same care one for another." You know, it's important that we function together. We've tried this going alone business. I've said for years that God is going to do away with all big evangelists and all big preachers. I believe that. We are going to function as a body. Some may be fingers, some may be thumbs, some may be something else, but we'll be a body. We will all be functioning.

Somebody said, "You know I sit in church Sunday after Sunday and nobody asked me to play the piano. They didn't ask anyone to take up the offering." Sometimes we lose people because we didn't ask them to play the piano, or sing a solo. They say, "I'll come to church if I can sing." See, because they have never been taught to function, they feel that they should sing, or to play, or lead the song service. But to functioning as the Body of Christ, and when you get functioning as a body, it doesn't matter whether you lead the song service or not. It doesn't matter if you play the piano or not. It doesn't matter if you teach Sunday School or not You are functioning. I remember in the early days the poor preacher almost had a heart attack, or a breakdown, when there was a service. He lead the service, made the announcements, sang a solo, and sometimes joined the choir, and then preached followed by the benediction.

Brethren, there is a function, there is a function, that is a ministering of the life of the body. There is ministering to one another that we need, and we need ministering to one another. It is as the Body of Christ functions, and takes its place, that we are able to move out into the world and accomplish the great tasks of the Father. I read something from the writings of a great man of God, “Watchman Nee.” He said this, "It lies within the scope of every single member to raise the tide of life in the whole body."

We don't want anyone going away this afternoon saying, "Well, I guess I'm not needed there, they didn't ask me to pray, they didn't ask me to lead the service or anything else." I think we should want to be volunteers. I don’t think we need to wait for a formal invitation, if people are here, they are here for a reason. No one comes here for nothing. They don't come here in the ordinary sense of coming here. They come because there is something they want. There is something they want to feel. There is something they want to associate with. There is something they want to know of the reality of life, what it really means to be in Christ, and Christ in you. Hallelujah!

Watchman Nee said, "He will let the cross deal drastically with the life of nature in you." We used to have great confessions of the old rugged cross. You'll have to forgive me, I just don't understand a lot of people who are coming into a charismatic experience which they call an experience of God. It seems such a life experience must have depth, that we have depth in the knowledge of Christ.

There is something that sets a man apart when he really knows God. You know what the Word says, “it says the men who know God, not know about Him; the men who know God shall do exploits.” It is the Body of Christ that is going to do exploits, not the big man, not the evangelist. So many times we have seen it happen built around a personality. Brother Nunes used to say, "Poisonality," built around their "poisonalities." And some of you said, "Look at poor me, I've just got a handful." If you are only ministering life to five, five is going to become twenty-five, then become fifty-five, and so on.

God is not concerned about our ministry to thousands, all of us are not cut out for that, but were in it for His sake. We can say at the end of life, "You did need me after all, you did need me Lord with just our little mission.” The Evangelist was the big word, but you needed us, Lord, and now revival is in Your program.”

It doesn’t matter where you came from. “Lord, Shackle in me all that is selfish should be our prayer.” You see, we have such an individual ministry. “I have a ministry.” “This is my church.” “I am a preacher.” You are wrong, brother. There is only one church and that is His church. That's right!

It's His church and it is His ministry. And when we function together, when we live together, when we move together, when we have our being together, and when we see we're a part of the whole body, it does something to you. Isn't that right? We’re a part of the whole, the whole Body of Jesus Christ. He said, "Come unto me." I was all alone, up one day and down the next. I couldn't help anybody. But you count, with His life flowing through you, you count. Our desire is to minister, minister life. And, when we lay our hands upon somebody we are imparting the very life of the Son of God. Can you feel it? Oh, I feel as if something went through me. You never felt it was life. It wasn't your life, it was His life. Impart the very life of God, ministering His life. You see, you'll forgive me if I don't like to talk about being a preacher anymore. I like to talk about ministering.

I always remember an experience I had with a big church in Saskatchewan. It was a great big church, seating 600 or 800 people. Years ago they had a great revival, but had moved away from that revival, and just a handful of people were left. I began to speak there in Moose Jaw to this great church. The people were all sitting at the back, and little me up here on the platform. Here's little me, with these people right in the back of this long church, seating 600 or 800 people, and some young people kind of snickering back there, and so I started to speak. I said, "Look, I haven't come to preach at you people, I've come to minister to you, and I'm going to come right down where you are." I went right down, and I went right to the back of the church. That night, they came to the front, and to some of those young people, who were laughing in the morning, I had said, "Brother, you will be crying tonight." And that night those young people cried and God baptized them in the Holy Spirit.

You talk about freshness of life. We don't preach, we minister. It's not my great sermon. It's His life! It's His Word, a living Word! I remember a Brother McAllister, who used to pastor "The Stone Church" in Toronto. He had, “a living Word from a living God.” That's what we want, isn't it? Ministering His life!

I just have one more verse this afternoon, John 6:65. "It is the Spirit that quickens, the flesh profiteth nothing." That's a hard thing for us folks. You know, there's nothing more wonderful than hearing, "Boy, did I ever enjoy your sermon tonight!" You know, after you get through, somebody sticks a pin in a balloon and it all blows up. “Boy, do I ever enjoy your sermon!” You know you have failed then! You know you have failed! Nobody should enjoys your sermon. It is the life that counts, it's the ministry! It's something that you give them and they go away really having something. It is not up and down. It is the Spirit that quickens! The quickening of the life in the Spirit, the breath of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus. "The flesh profiteth nothing." "The words that I speak unto you." I like the authority of Christ, I like to say that that authority is in His church.

You know, we used to apologize, with, "I am sorry I have to say that." The moment you've said it, you know you are wrong. There is no need to apologize when you are ministering the life that is in Christ, whatever that life or that word may be. He said, "The words that I speak unto you they are Spirit, they are life." Spirit Life! They are words that are spoken under the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

There are many precious brethren, I want to be careful now, who have been to Bible School, who know how to do an introduction of course, firstly, secondly and thirdly and then come to a final conclusion, but have never ministered in the Spirit. It's possible to preach a sermon, I've often said, "You can get preachers a dime a dozen." There are so many of them. All kinds of them. Many come to me and say, "I'm a preacher," but they do not have a church, but they're a preacher.

God is not looking for preachers, He is looking for ministers. He is looking for men and women who will know something of the anointing. In the early days of the [Pentecostal] revival, the ministers would not preach, would not begin, until there was something they could sense in the meeting house. Then the people were ready for the ministry of the Word. There are a lot of people you go to and you know they're not ready. They have ears, but they will not hear, and that's why the song service is a preparation of the hearts of the people to get ready to hear the voice and to hear the Word of the Lord, to have the feeling of being in tune with one another, and the feeling of relationship and of fellowship. They have made sure the words that I speak are under the anointing. Brethren, be sure to get under the anointing.

May I give you a word, personally? I've always felt that it is more important to pray and to wait upon God than to prepare to preach. I felt that the greatest part of my ministry would be spent more in preparation of myself than of the ministry to others. We need to be well balanced out, not simply preparing, but preparing your heart, so you could minister that word acceptable in the sight of God.

He said, "They are full of life." Your words are full of life. Isn't that something? Something had really happened to Paul. No wonder Paul cried, "That I may know Him." I don't want to know about Him, I want to know Him. Somebody said, "Oh, I know about you and I've never met you. Now I've met you." You see, it is not knowing about Him, but really knowing Him coming into a vital relationship. You can never minister to others unless you have been to the Cross, unless you're anointed, you fail.

I used to be, and I'm still very nervous. Many people would not believe that. I used to be especially nervous, I used to have nervous headaches. I was always afraid of people until I began to minister, then I didn't mind. Once I began to minister it was alright. The moment the anointing came, it wouldn't have made any difference who was there. The anointing in Christ, the life of the Spirit to our ministry took away fear. Be sure there is plenty of time for ministering.

By the way, it is fifty years ago that I first preached the Gospel of the Son of God. The first message that I ever preached was, "What shall I do with Jesus, which is called Christ", and the second was, Second Kings 5:1, about Naaman, "But he was a leper." I've forgotten the thousands of messages I preached in the last fifty years, but I've never forgotten the first two, which were a couple of outlines given to me by my Pastor, a Presbyterian minister.

We speak of healing, but there is something far more wonderful than healing, and that is the risen resurrected life of the Son of God. I couldn't help but think what Brother Whyte said last night. He and I look as though we are getting old. That life is in us, and that life doesn't get old, it gets fuller, fuller, fuller and fuller, and it overflows. As we allow that resurrection life to flow through us we minister. What does the Word say? It says, "We become able ministers." My! I wish I could preach like him. I always remember the first time I heard Dr. Charles Price. I almost gave up the ministry. I almost gave up. I said, "What's the use?" But I had to learn something. God had not called us to be Dr. Price. He had called us to minister, to flow in the Spirit, to function in the power of the Spirit, and when we do that, we function to the Glory of God.

This is the hour when the Spirit of God is seeking to move in a manner which will surpass any move we have ever seen in the past. The work of the body is not going down, but increasing itself in love, increasing, increasing. So we shall yet see a more tremendous manifestation of God than we see today. God is moving today, we acknowledge that, but don't ever be satisfied. Don't say, "fill my cup Lord", but "Fill my life.” “Fill my being; let me live; let me move; let me be a vessel, a vessel of clay." "Have Thy way in my life, and cause me to understand my relationship."

Don't go away and say that nobody noticed you and you'll not come back again. But say, "Brother, you know something, I’m a part of the whole.” I used to think I was a little preacher with a few people. Poor me, poor me, poor us. And now I find I take my place, I take my place in His presence and function. A lot of folks don't like it. They're just afraid to functioning. They say, “I’ve got rheumatism and arthritis. I’m living alright, but barely existing.”

God wants the body of Christ to function flowing in love, flowing in unity, and recognizing one another. Brothers don't be backward. I admit I'm that way myself. But don't let us be backwards. Let us recognize one another. I feel as if I know you all. I feel now that I am somebody and bone of His bone and flesh of His flesh. You are my brothers; you are my sisters. You are members together of the body of Christ. If you flow in isolation, you will die. We must flow in unity. We must function as the Body of Jesus Christ, as we present the very life of Christ, we impart it to one another. Do you feel it? I don't know about you, but I feel something here. I feel His life, the very life of Jesus Christ. He gave His life. He laid it down to accomplish something.

Thank you, Lord! Thank you Lord! Hallelujah! Don't worry if they don't call you a preacher, but remember you are a member of the body, and as a member of the body, you can function and you can minister.
